Our transit system in Winnipeg is, among other unmentionable words, the pits. One's bus is seldom on schedule, which makes the system most unreliable. Buses are either early, late, or sometimes do not even show up at all. many people rely on our transit system to arrive at their destination on time. It does not look good from the boss's point of view when employees are frequently tardy because the bus was late.
I have encountered rabit dogs that were friendlier than the average Winnipeg bus driver. I realize that there are pressures involved with the position and that some individuals can be most trying and difficult, but bus drivers could be more pleasant and good public relations would not hurt the image
Winnipeg needs more buses at rush hour. It is ridiculous how bus drivers pack people like a herd of cows going to pasture. Unfortunately for me, I am more than often one of the standing customers and either have a drunk leaning on me or someone who just ate garlic and onions is breathin down my neck.
If the transit system allowed only so many people on a bus at the same time and kept on schedule, busing might be more bearable. After all, we the working people of this city, support the transit system. There could be improvements.
